Home Up

This page was made possible by my cousin Denise, who found the map, inquired, searched, found and took the pictures,                           01 February 2004.

Samuel Wright Goldy 12.22.1814-06.18.1875 was the son of John Goldy 1774-1833 and Amelia Wright 1780-1845. John Goldy was the son of Samuel Goldy 1742-1819 and Ann Toy 1750-1826.

He married Martha L Wright in 1846 and had the following children:
Amelianna 1848-1912, Mary W born 1849, John 1851-1931, and Walter Scott 1853-1944.
Vincentown, New Jersey, 1876 shows that Samuel W Goldy lived at Mill Street across from the Trinity Episcopal Church.

Samuel Wright Goldy and his wife Martha L (Wright) Goldy are buried at the Mount Holly Cemetery on Ridgway Street.

Something a little interesting

Deborah Haines Troth who married William Goldy was the great Aunt of Clayton Haines who lived next door to Samuel W and Martha Goldy in Vincentown and Crispin Lippincott was a 3rd cousin to Jerusha Corlies who married Samuel Goldy. Crispin Lippincott at one time also lived next door to Samuel and Martha Goldy (on the other side).

Samuel W Goldy is the  second-great grand nephew of Elizabeth Wright who married Peter Fretwell, who arrived in this country aboard the "Shield" in 1677.
